The Straight Scoop

Yoga Path’s studio will not be re-opening.  Before the shutdown, I made the announcement that I would close the studio at the end of April.

This is why…

Plain and simple, my wreck changed me.  LIFE really and truly is, “keep it simple, stupid.”  It took me almost a year to be able to fully come back to the business.  Beth and I worked ourselves to the bone bringing the business back to black.  After clawing through the first 4 months of 2019, we could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Then, I lost Yoga Path’s biggest contract to the very team I trained and hired for that contract.  Some very easy and some very difficult choices were made.  Beth and I took a lot of heat from students and teachers for standing our ground.   Despite the challenges we did succeed financially and it was a grueling task. Looking at the year ahead, it was death to my soul to continue this leg of my business.   

Here’s the bottom line.  Yoga Path is more than one job, one teacher, one student.  Many years of hard work, money, sacrifice, and passion have gone into building Yoga Path. I am much wiser, stronger, and closer to my truth than I’ve ever been.   I run my business with compassion. Sometimes I’m really great at it and sometimes I kinda suck at it. Yoga Path continues to grow despite its hardships.

Teacher training kicks off in January 2021 and Beth and I will again be diving into the study of yoga with whoever is meant to go through this journey with us.  The program is getting a facelift as I adapt it to the new home studio and school.  I’ve got a she-shed!
